men with big testes more prone sick

Testes or testicles have an important role for men's health, among others, produce sperm and make hormones. However, the size of the testes that can increase the risk of diseases

Men with large testes tend to be more obese, consume more alcohol, hypertension, and heart disease.

Researchers from the University of Florence, Italy, believes that the size of the testes could be a sign of poor health. In fact, the size of testes can be an indicator of heart disease risk.

Giulia Rasterelli, lead researcher, said that despite the large size of the testes is often associated with good reproductive function, but the size of these organs can also be an indicator of the overall health of the body.

"But the more detailed research is needed to explain why the big testes mechanism can increase the incidence of cardiac and vascular disease," said Rasterelli.

In his research he examined 2,809 men who came to the sexual health clinic. Then the male testes size were recorded and tested for hormone levels before their medical history was followed for 7 years.

During the study period known large testes size men who suffer more heart disease.

Men with large testes size also tend to have high levels of hormones, particularly hormones luteiniising, which is known to affect the size of the testes. Experts believe this hormone is bad for the heart.

The researchers were quite surprised by the results of this study as previously men with large testes are considered infertile, which is a sign of good health.

Because the respondents in this study were men who had sexual function problems, then the researchers caution the results of this study may not be appropriate in healthy men in general.
