Some time past, in the face of plastic surgery in gandrungi increasingly not only by women, but also men. However, if the purpose of doing to make the appearance more attractive, you'd better think again.

A small-scale study showed that plastic surgery is not necessarily to make your face look more attractive though plastic surgery may be able to help you look younger for a few years.

Lead researcher Dr Joshua Zimm, surgeon of Lenox Hill Hospital and Manhattan Eye, Ear, Throat Institute said, hope a lot of people in doing plastic surgery is to look more attractive, but the results of the study indicate otherwise.

"We found that plastic surgery will only give the look more fresh and energetic, but it is certainly not more attractive," he said.

The study involved 50 people who did not know each other for ages and asked to guess the attraction to each other is subjective. The participants were men or women aged 42 to 73 years. They perform plastic surgery between 2006 and 2010 with a firming treatment face, neck, eyelids, and eyebrows.

They were asked to vote via display the images before and after plastic surgery. The face Photo taken preoperatively and six months postoperatively. The participants were asked not to wear any makeup during take pictures and do not use additives in cosmetic surgery, such as botox injections or laser skin repair.

As a result, the average of the participants after the surgery to get educated guess age three years younger. However, no significant additional scores for their attractiveness.

Nevertheless, the results of the study emphasize the Zimm is not a final conclusion. This is because the participants passed a new kind of plastic surgery.

Dr. Laurie Casas, a surgeon from Chicago, who was not involved in the research, said the study results are not relevant when applied in real life. Because the study only based on a subjective assessment of the participant that is not a definite frame of reference.

"Before the start of plastic surgery, there is a very complex process because of the perception of beauty should be evaluated by the surgeon and the patient," he said.
