Why Fever After Children Vaccinated?

Some children often experience fever after the injection of the vaccine. As a result, some parents decide not to vaccinate, for fear that the fever will hit. Causes fever fussy child, resulting in disturbed his rest.

Fever after a vaccine, she said, is caused by the body's reaction to the toxin that has been weakened germs that enter the body. Sri exemplifies the DPT vaccine often causes fever. "40 percent of DPT vaccine causes fever. This is due to the toxins of the pertussis vaccine. Parents can choose the vaccine does not cause a fever," she said.
Sri explain further, DPT vaccine consists of two types. Whole cell DPT vaccine with a small letter W on the letter P, indicating the vaccine cause fever. This is because the entire cell kumam included in the vaccine, including toxins.
The second type is the DPT vaccine with a small letter A on the letter P. The letter A stands for acellular. That is, the content of the toxin is not there so that the child is free of fever.
Regardless of the type of vaccine, Sri said parents should not worry. "The important thing is make sure the healthy children before the vaccine. However parents need to worry if the child had seizures before the vaccine," she said.
To determine the condition of the child, Sri advise parents to consult with your doctor first. Sri also suggested parents provide a fever-reducing medicine such as paracetamol in the cupboard. But when the fever did not go down well after 2-3 days, should be immediately taken to the doctor.
