Do not be Lazy To Clean Mosquito Larva Not Taxable Non DBD and Sanctions

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a disease that still haunt the community. Therefore, eradication of mosquito larvae into a very important activity. Be careful if your institution is still found in mosquito larvae, could be sanctioned.

"Behold, there is a legal umbrella for the prevention of dengue fever that Bylaw No. VI/2007. Where Articles 21, 22, 23, mentions the existence of sanctions for institutions (offices, malls, markets, schools, and homes) are in place found mosquito larvae," said Dr. John Marbun representing Jakarta Health Department in a written statement received on Friday (19/07/2013).

Dr. John Marbun added that if mosquito larvae are found during the inspection, it will be liable to a written reprimand to a fine start. They will also be fitted sticker reading "This place is found dengue mosquito larvae".

Indonesia ranks second in the world (after Brazil), and first in Asean with the highest incidence rate of dengue fever. In Jakarta alone until July 15, 2013 recorded the existence of as many as 5,731 dengue cases with 14 deaths (case fatality rate / CFR 0.24 per cent).

When viewed from the side of the region, the East Jakarta to the location of the highest dengue incidence in this period with 1,901 cases with 9 deaths. Looking at the data from the East Jakarta is the most prone to the condition. This is because the East Jakarta has the most extensive residential areas.

The weather was quite different from last year, especially in the rainy season like now, the mosquito Aedes aegypti to breed faster. Therefore it is necessary to pay attention to environmental consciousness. If not, of course, will endanger the lives of the people.

The main factor is the spread of diseased dengue vector (Aedes aegypti), people infected with dengue virus, as well as the environment. To address the increase in cases, Indonesia has made a Mosquito Eradication Movement (PSN) with support Larva Monitoring Savior (Jumantik).

In Jakarta alone, the movement PSN done once a week for 30 minutes to prevent mosquitoes breeding. 3M plus PSN movement covers the activities Drain, Close, Bury and avoid mosquito bites, monitor all water containers that can become breeding places for mosquitoes.

If people routinely perform activities 3M once every week, this activity can reduce the incidence of dengue disease. Besides 3M movement also needs to be combined with periodic examination wiggler, installing mosquito nets while sleeping, maintaining larvae-eating fish in the pond, as well as spread the powder chemical larvicides in water reservoirs.
