slow brain? Try Drinking a Glass of Water

Slow brain of a baby is not innate but only because of certain biological conditions that cause the brain works slowly such as hunger or thirst. However, a study found if the brain suddenly slow, drink a glass of water could be the best solution.

The team of researchers from the University of East London kelemotan believe that a person's brain can be seen clearly when he felt thirsty. But once it's lost his thirst by drinking water so his brain could be the focus of the work he was doing. To the researchers say drinking water can sharpen one's mind.

This conclusion is obtained after the researchers conducted an experiment on 34 men and women were asked to complete a mental test as much as two times: one time after a breakfast of cereal and one more time after drinking a bottle of water after eating cereal.

None of the participants who ate or drank the night before and all participants were asked how their thirst at the beginning of the experiment. Some participants who claimed not to be able to respond as quickly thirsty while reaction speed tests, either with the help of water or not.

But participants who are thirsty can directly respond immediately after drinking water, even 14 percent faster than before. The findings, reported in the journal Frontiers in Human Neuroscience.

Researchers speculate that the consumption of water help release some part of the brain is busy 'tells' the body if they process the sensation of thirst or simply feel thirsty.

"So it could not hurt to take a break and drink a glass of water when you are working hard. Not only water, tea and coffee can also help your hydration," said researcher Caroline Edmonds as reported by the Daily Mail, Thursday (18/07/2013) .

Dr.. Edmonds also showed an earlier study that found that children who were given a glass of water before taking the test, giving a third score better than not drinking water.

Of a separate study also note that not getting adequate water consumption can lead to a 'gray matter' (part of the brain that plays a role in control muscle, sensory perceptions such as seeing and hearing, memory, emotions and speech) to shrink and make a person so it's hard to think.

But after being given drink one or two glasses of water, in the study participants' brain can return to normal quickly.
