High temperatures that occur at night can affect the body's natural cooling process when going to sleep, as reported by the Times of India, on Wednesday (07/17/2013).
"The body releases heat through the hands, face, and feet during sleep and it will be cold until about 4 am," said Dr Chris Idzikowski, director of the Edinburgh Sleep Centre and author of Sound Asleep.
Dr Idzikowski said, if there is something that prevents the temperature drop during sleep, the quality will decrease and you will actually be difficult to sleep.
In addition, continued Dr Idzikowski, bedding material selection also affects the quality of one's sleep. He asserted that the materials with natural fibers such as cotton are best. The mattresses are made of foam or other synthetic materials should also be replaced with mattres or mattress protector is made from cotton.
Another suggestion from Dr Idzikowski, store cushions in the fridge for a full day suggest that people can keep their pillows in the freezer and use a full day to sleep.
Sleepwear should also be well chosen. The most comfortable sleepwear is loose sleepwear with cotton or silk. Clothing with this material is considered more effective in helping you sleep better than other fabrics.
"If you have insomnia problems, let the wrist and hand them exposed to the flow of cold water from the tap for a few minutes. Drain immediately and try to sleep," said Dr. Idzikowski.
